Les 4 piliers

Respect at the heart of our business

This is the starting point for a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy that must increasingly guide the company’s strategic orientations.
We are building it around 4 pillars.

1. Promoting inclusion

‘An inclusive society is one without privileges, exclusivities and exclusions. It does not define norms, but considers everyone as ‘normal’. When it comes to access to the opportunities it offers, everyone, regardless of gender, origin or disability, can benefit to the same degree.’
Charles Gardou

Respect for the individual is an essential and natural value at WARE ID, and in this section we would particularly like to highlight the work of establishments that we hear very little about: the supported employment workplaces (ESAT).

It was one of our priorities at WARE ID from the outset, to be able to create a partnership with an establishment or services providing help through work.

After several years of preparation, we are very proud to be able to work with Les ateliers du Pays d’auge. Our FREESCAN solutions are pre-assembled in this establishment.

Together, we have redesigned our products to make assembly easier, adapted our workstations and established a process with quality controls. And all with smiles and joy in our eyes.

The ESAT Les Ateliers du Pays d’Auge provides support for people with disabilities who have been referred to it by the departmental center for the disabled.

They provide this support using inclusive and caring practices that respect the Personalized Project of the people they host. The ESAT greets 140 workers accompanied by 8 employees.

We would like to thank Pauline PHILIPPE-HERMILLY, the technical manager, and David CHAMPION, the instructor, for setting up and managing our project.

And of course a big thank you to Aurélie, Marie-Paule, Amandine, Aysel, Elodie, Cédric, Jérémy, Allan and Laurent, the technicians, for the little extra they add to our FREESCANs.

2. Local production

Since 2020, FREESCANs have been produced and assembled in Normandy, near Caen. In 2024, a new assembly line was created to meet customer demand.

We are also prioritising and strengthening local partnerships, such as our close collaboration with Rivière Synergie and TechCréa 3D, which are located less than 50km from our production site.

This proximity to our suppliers and employees enables us to be more responsive, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote employment in our region.

3. Encouraging the development of our teams

It is our employees who, on a daily basis, reinforce the pillars of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy. How can they do this if they are not fulfilled in their work? That’s why our human resources policy aims to develop a stimulating working environment that promotes employee well-being.

We carry out individual interviews to discuss their working environment. This enables us to put in place initiatives to develop employees’ skills and offer them prospects for advancement.

We attach great importance to providing a quality working environment, guaranteeing conditions that respect the health and safety of our teams, and establishing constructive social dialogue. Finally, we take care to create a strong bond between our teams, from the moment they join WARE ID.

CSR Sustainable development

4. Sustainable development

Respect for our environment is an important part of our company’s strategy. We are aware that our company’s main environmental impact is generated by our products themselves. So, reducing their impact – from design to end-of-life – is the most powerful lever for improving our company’s overall impact.

To achieve this, we design products that are robust, durable and easy to repair and recycle at the end of their life.

Finally, we see eco-design as a continuous improvement process, with new approaches to explore, while measuring the effects of these choices on the impact of our products.

As we said, designing and manufacturing products has an impact on the environment, so should we just stop?

No we shouldn’t; what we need to do is encourage the entrepreneurs of tomorrow to create innovations that address the climate emergency. Basically, solutions that will reduce our carbon footprint while designing a service, an application or a product…..

That’s why we are now a partner of Team for the Planet, a not-for-profit company that creates and finances businesses fighting climate change on a global scale.

There are millions of us, and we have the power to act.
It’s time to use it.
